Organization Tips For College Term Papers Writing
Organization Tips For College Term Papers WritingCollege term papers are a really long and boring job for students. I know this because my writing college essays is one of the hardest things for me to do. I hate reading all the word that I have to write as a writer. It's just so hard, I don't even know if I can write what I read.I think about all those students that are studying and study. It's really getting to me. It's probably not what they want to hear when I'm working hard to finish those term papers. I think my professors are right too, when they ask me to stop writing. So when I'm sitting there, all by myself, trying to figure out what I should be doing with the words in front of me, I'm probably reading the papers. That's the whole thing about the college term papers, it's so hard to study on paper. The problem is, if you are looking at something, the words are in front of you, you can't help but read the paper. That's why I have to make sure that I put them away when I come h ome from class. Not only does that mean I have to do that, but sometimes I will even have to take my computer out to go to work. After doing that for so long, I am now beginning to forget where I put everything. That is the most important thing to remember when you're studying, and that is to make sure you keep everything on a secure place. So after I get home, I will always want to put the papers somewhere safe and easily accessible. I also have to make sure that I know where to find the papers, you never know what you might want to study on those papers. I might have some extra time during a weekend or late night, and I can always look up anything I want, and I don't have to waste that time with papers. It also doesn't matter how many papers you have since it's all right there for you to look up. This is great for when you get into an interesting study, and you just want to read and not write.Having all that time and being able to keep it really valuable, you really want to take adv antage of it. The last thing you want to do is spend all your free time looking for papers. It's not worth it, and you will waste time that you could have used for actual work. It's really easy to keep the term papers organized. You just need a very large desk that you can put all your papers on, so that it can't fall or disappear. You also want a filing system that you can use.The best place to organize the term papers is your home, because it's much easier than going to some place that you won't be used to. If you take advantage of all the free time you have available, then you can really save yourself time and money.

The Difference Between Socialism And Communism - 908 Words
The Difference between Socialism and Communism Communism and socialism have been linked throughout most of history, most of the time being confused with one another. Many people tend to think of the communist USSR and the scare in the 50ââ¬â¢s when the idea of socialism is mentioned in conversation. And while these two tend to have similar bases, in no way are they the exact same views. The point of this paper will be to debunk the common misconception that socialism equals communism and explore the effect both political views have had in other countries. Many times in the past I have heard negative opinions of socialism, especially now with one of the democratic nominees being a socialist. My own father has tried to tell me that socialism was a bad ideal and would actually lead to a dictatorship. However, he was also never one to pick up a history book or examine how effective socialism can be with other countries. With these false impressions it becomes apparent that it is impor tant to know the difference between these two and become educated on the matter. Firstly, it will be essential to know the definitions of these two political theories. Socialism, as described by Modern History: From the European Age to New Global Era was a word first commonly used in 1830 France and was related as the theory to oppose a society run on market principles and to an economy operated on laissez-faire lines. She was born healthyââ¬âwith full ability to hear and seeââ¬âin Tuscumbia, Alabama in the United States. Based on her writing ââ¬Å"The Story of My Life,â⬠Helen at the age of six months could whistle out the words ââ¬Å"How dââ¬â¢yeâ⬠followed by the word ââ¬Å"Teaâ⬠. She, like any other normal child, was fascinated with the beauty of the surroundingsââ¬âits colors and the things composing it. She insisted on imitating whatever people around her were doing. Likewise, she enjoyed the music produced by the natural world and the noise by other people. She could learn whatever the child of her age could learn. Helen started to walk a day before she celebrated her first birthday (6). Nonetheless, unlike the other children, her happy days, manifested by her experiences of being able to see and hear, did not last long. The life of the healthy Keller baby, as claimed by RNIB, changed dramatically in February 1882. Helen fell ill with a disease by which the doctor during that time had named as brain feverââ¬âan illness which was also assumed to have been a scarlet fever or meningitis. This illness is still a mystery for the medical doctors of today. The sickness of Helen had led the Keller family in believing that their daughter will die. When, eventually, the fever subsided, made the family rejoiced on the possibility that Helen will become well again. After the fever has passed, however, Helenââ¬â¢s mother noticed the changes in her daughterââ¬â¢s behaviorsââ¬âHelen was failing to react whenever she passed her hand in front of her eyes or she was failing to hear and to respond whenever the dinner bell was rang. Later they realized that the feverââ¬âthe illness that struck Helenââ¬âhad left her both blind and deaf. On her account on her life, she mentioned, ââ¬Å"Then, in the dreary month of February, came the illness which closed my eyes and ears and plunged me into the unconsciousness of a new-born baby.â⬠(7) In the young mind of Helen, she realized that something was being taken away from herââ¬âher ability to see the colors and hear the noise, again. This discovery gave the family much worry especially during the following years when taking care of Helen proved to be very hard for them. She became uncontrollableââ¬âher attitude and behavior became reasons for her relatives to regard her as a monster and a bad member of the family. This made them thought that the young Helen should be put into an institution capable of handling a child with such behaviors. When Helen reached the age of six, the family became more problematic on handling her. Though succumbed in the sad situation, the young Helen was been took care of by her mother. As she accounted, her mother gave her a loving wisdom that was bright and good during when she experienced long night. She began to learn some patterns like when to say ââ¬Å"Noâ⬠or ââ¬Å"Go away.â⬠At the age of five she learned more things beyond the things that she could see and hear. Based on the accounts of RNIB, Kate Keller, Helenââ¬â¢s mother had read a book by Charles Dickens entitled ââ¬Å"American Notesâ⬠which entailed the fantastic work done to another deaf and blind child named Laura Bridgman. Because of her love to her daughter, she travelled to a specialist doctor in Baltimore to seek for advice in regards to the situation of Helenââ¬âlater she learned that Helen would never see and hear again. However, the child could learned and be taught. They were advised to see an expert on the problems regarding deaf childrenââ¬âAlexander Graham Bell, the inventor of the telephone. Graham Bell pointed that they should write to the director of Perkins Institution and Massachusetts Asylum for the Blind, Michael Anagnos, and asked for a mentor that would guide and teach the deaf and the blind child. Convinced with the hopes and possibilities that Helen would learn, Michael Anagnos, recommended Anne Sullivan, the Institutionââ¬â¢s former student, to be the tutor of Helen. 7 Classes and Types of Phrases
7 Classes and Types of Phrases 7 Classes and Types of Phrases 7 Classes and Types of Phrases By Mark Nichol Phrase is such a banal term for two or more words that convey an idea that it may surprise you that there are seven types of phrases, with variations. Here, with pertinent phrases in sample sentences formatted in boldface, is a rundown of the categories: 1. Absolute Phrase An absolute phrase is a modifying parenthetical or subordinate phrase of a root sentence that includes a subject but does not have an acting verb so cannot stand on its own as sentence: ââ¬Å"Their effort to regain the lead successful, the team continued to score until they pulled ahead by a wide margin. 2. Appositive Phrase An appositive phrase is one that restates a preceding term, or expands or explains it, in a parenthetical statement. There are three variations of appositive phrases: ââ¬Å"Her dog, a bull mastiff, looks ridiculous with a pink bow stuck to her headâ⬠features a noun phrase. ââ¬Å"His favorite hobby, knitting, is rather unusual for a manâ⬠includes a gerund phrase. ââ¬Å"The Tahitianââ¬â¢s ambition, to become an ice skater, is unexpectedâ⬠has an infinitive phrase. Note that these three types of phrases are explained below; the distinction in the phrase types as applied above, as opposed to the types described below, is that each type serves as the basis for an appositive phrase; on their own, they need not be appositive, or set off. 3. Gerund Phrase A gerund phrase includes a verbal, a hybrid that functions as a noun (or adjective). There are three distinct functions: ââ¬Å"Juggling knives is not recommended as a relaxation techniqueâ⬠includes a gerund phase as the subject of the sentence. ââ¬Å"Iââ¬â¢m going for a long walk off a short pierâ⬠features a gerund phrase as the sentenceââ¬â¢s object. ââ¬Å"Sheââ¬â¢s saving up for a vacation in Antarcticaâ⬠has a gerund phrase as the object of a preposition. 4. Infinitive Phrase An infinitive phrase includes the word to and a verb as the basis of a modification of a root sentence: ââ¬Å"His effort to pass the bill doomed his political ambitionsâ⬠includes an infinitive phrase that functions as an adjective modifying the previous noun. ââ¬Å"He plans to see the movieâ⬠features an infinitive phrase that functions as the sentenceââ¬â¢s object. ââ¬Å"To write of the experience is to dredge up unpleasant memoriesâ⬠has an infinitive phrase that functions as the sentenceââ¬â¢s subject. ââ¬Å"To say as much is to admit guiltâ⬠includes an infinitive phrase that serves as predicate nominative, or a substitute subject. ââ¬Å"I went to the store to buy some ice creamâ⬠features an infinitive phrase that stands as an adverb (modifying the verb went). 5. Noun Phrase A noun phrase consists of a person, place, or thing and any modifiers: ââ¬Å"This is a grammar lesson.â⬠It may include one or more adjectives (as grammar modifies lesson here). It might include a noun and a modifying clause: ââ¬Å"This is a lesson that explains the various types of phrases.â⬠It might take the form of one of three other types of phrase: infinitive, participial, and prepositional. (The infinitive phrase is discussed above, and the latter two types are described below.) Many noun phrases are continuous; they consist of words in sequence. However, a noun phrase may be discontinuous, meaning that it is broken up into more than one element: ââ¬Å"This lesson is one that explains the various types of phrases.â⬠6. Participial Phrase A participial phrase consists of verbals ending in -ing or -ed, or another irregular form of a verb, and serves as an adjective: The participial phrase in ââ¬Å"Having been lied to before, I was waryâ⬠modifies the word I. The phrase may be parenthetical within a sentence, too: In ââ¬Å"You, knowing what you now know, are in a better position to judge,â⬠the participial phrase modifies the word you. 7. Prepositional Phrase A prepositional phrase consists of a preposition and a noun or pronoun that serves as the prepositionââ¬â¢s object, and often one or more adjectives: ââ¬Å"I went for a walk in the dark woods.â⬠Prepositional phrases are often located at the head of a sentence. ââ¬Å"When the sun went down, I hurried back.â⬠Want to improve your English in five minutes a day?
